Indications
OSTEOPAL® V is indicated for augmentation and stabilisation of vertebral bodies in percutaneous vertebroplasty and balloon kyphoplasty
- for compression fractures of the vertebral body
- for vertebral body tumours (metastases and myelomas)
- for symptomatic vertebral hemangioma
The vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty procedure must only be considered a palliative treatment to stabilise the vertebral body. The procedure does not treat the underlying disease (osteoporosis, cancer).
